Adventure Travel World Summit 2016 in Alaska

Anchorage in Alaska was chosen as host city for the Adventure Travel World Summit 2016, organized by the Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA).

Every adventurer’s eyes lighten up, just mentioning the name “Alaska”. It is a symbol for pure, unlimited adventure with its untouched, vast nature, extreme climate and diverse wildlife. This epic adventure potential made it the ideal choice for the 12th Adventure Travel World Summit from September 19-22, 2016.

Before the summit, participants can wander through Alaska’s wide national parks, climb its glaciers and experience, how Alaska is striving to protect its natural and cultural heritage in specially organized pre-summit adventures.

During the summit itself, which will draw tour operators, marketers, gear companies, destination experts and others involved in adventure travel to Anchorage, the focus will be on networking and educating. The Adventure Travel World Summit is an event, where the global adventure tourism industry comes together to exchange ideas and inspire each other.

Besides a great networking event for the adventure travel industry, the summit is also a unique marketing opportunity for Anchorage, since it has the potential to draw huge amounts of attention to one specific destination. Important players of the adventure travel industry will set their eyes on Alaska as the city’s guests.

It is already possible to register for the summit of 2016. In October 2015, the Adventure Travel World Summit will take place in Puerto Varas, Chile, but tickets are already sold out.

The ATTA has been founded in 1980 and has by now more than 1000 members worldwide. It helps them to connect, find new solutions and succeed in business, so they can become top competitors in the adventure travel industry.
